EMBER & OAK

Farm-fresh flavors, fireside warmth

Explore

Rooted in the land,
served with soul

Ember & Oak started at a farmers' market. A handshake with a local grower, a shared belief that food should taste like where it comes from. Today, every dish on our menu tells the story of an Oregon farm, a seasonal harvest, a cook who actually cares. We don't source locally because it's trendy — we do it because it's the only way food should be made.

Our kitchen is led by ingredients, not ego. What's growing this week shapes the menu. What's roasting this morning becomes your cup of coffee. No shortcuts, no substitutions.

Roasted in-house,
served with care

Our beans are sourced from small-lot farms in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala, then roasted weekly in our Portland roastery. We don't rush the process, and you can taste the difference. Every cup is brewed to order.

Pour Over

Single-origin beans, hand-poured to highlight delicate tasting notes. Our signature brewing method.

Espresso

Rich, full-bodied shots from our rotating house blend. The foundation for all our espresso drinks.

Cold Brew

Steeped 18 hours for a smooth, low-acid concentrate. Served black, with oat milk, or as a tonic.

Matcha & Chai

Ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Japan. Masala chai made from scratch with whole spices daily.

What Guests Are Saying

Real words from people who've shared a meal with us.

"We came for brunch and stayed until dinner. The ricotta hotcakes are life-changing, and the pour-over coffee is the best in Portland. The whole space feels like a warm hug."

"As a chef myself, I don't impress easily. The braised short rib was perfect — fall-apart tender with a jus that had actual depth. You can taste the care that goes into every plate here."

T
Thomas Nakamura
Anniversary dinner

"I work remotely and this is my office three days a week. The cold brew is dangerously good, the wi-fi is solid, and nobody rushes you out. Ember & Oak gets the café thing right."
